Author: Gary Whitehill

As you may have seen recently on twitter or facebook, I have been elected to the AOL Small Business Board of Directors. This is a prestigious achievement for both The Relentless Foundation and its cornerstone event – New York Entrepreneur Week (NYEW).

With a driven and relentless global vision for entrepreneurship globally, I am humbled to be surrounded by a group of board members who are visionary thought-leaders, business mavericks and influential innovators, including:

It is an honor to have been elected to this elite board. Each of us truly believe in catapulting Rod Kurtz’s vision at AOL and collectively embrace its unlimited possibilities.

In just 10 months NYEW has constructed an unprecedented movement that has garnered national media attention, having become a globally recognized hub of unlimited inspiration, mission-critical business advice and value add content to entrepreneurs around the world.

Since November 2009, NYEW has:

  • Welcomed more than 3,000 innovators to its week-long series of events
  • Broadcast to an additional 135,000 viewers worldwide
  • Curated 253 of the best and brightest entrepreneurs from around the world to engage with the audience
  • Set a world record for the most venture pitches in a limited time frame
  • Been featured on Fox Business News, NBC, NY1, Crain’s, New York Post and many more

We have been very fortunate to have accomplished so many things in such a short time period. The Relentless Foundation is a platform to catapult entrepreneurs who will stop at nothing to achieve everything they seek from their entrepreneurial endeavors. NYEW is just the beginning of a much larger, dual mission.

The Relentless Foundation seeks to:

  • Scale NYEW into 5 states by 2015
  • Develop an international footprint in South Africa by 2012
  • Implement entrepreneurship education into every K-12 grade throughout the United States by 2030
